Microvia

Is an interconnection between layers of a multi-layer PCB.
IPC defines microvia structures by the aspect ratio of a hole, which is the ratio of the length or depth of a hole to its preplated diameter.

PCB Laminate Materials

The laminate material is the base PCB substrate. The PCB gains its rigidity and thickness from this solid core.
