What is the minimum trace width and spacing you can handle?

Trace width: 3 mils
Trace/line spacing: 3mils

When fabricating narrower traces, there is a smaller tolerance to work with, so over-etching can occur. Our controlled etching process produces the proper trace width.

Are you capable of handling Stacked micro-vias?

Yes, we can manufacture reliable microvias, particularly stacked microvias. (Improper fabrication of stacked microvias can result in incomplete filling, dimples, or voids in the copper plating process.

What soldermask colors you have available?
We can support almost all kinds of solder mask colors. However, our most commonly used colors are Red, Green, Black, Blue, White.
What surface finishes are available?

HASL, Lead free HASL, ENIG, Immersion Silver, Immersion Tin, OSP, Soft Wire Bondable Gold, Hard Gold

What is the minimum size of hole you can make?
Mechanical: 6 mils / Laser: 4 mils

Having different hole sizes in a PCB design requires more drill bits to be used in the PCB manufacturing process, which increases PCB cost and manufacturing time.

My board requires Impedance and Stack-up. Do you support these?

We provide free impedance control calculation and stack-up using industry-leading field solvers.

Impedance control is matching PCB trace dimensions and locations with the properties of the substrate material to make sure that the strength of a signal traveling along a trace is within a required range. By following good design practices and approaches, many potential signal integrity issues can be averted or mitigated.

I have different types of boards in a panel, can you fabricate such panel?
Yes, we can fabricate multiple types of boards in a panel. However, we would need to review the files before giving you a confirmation.
Do you offer Peelable Soldermask?
Yes.

A peelable solder mask protects particular areas on PCBs during the PCB assembly process, where they undergo wave soldering. This protection prevents solder from coming into contact with the masked regions.

Are you capable of making flex boards?
What electrical testing methods do you use?

We use two types of test methods:

  1. Flying Probe
  2. Test Fixture
Are you capable of manufacturing high RF application PCBs?

Yes, we have the ability to manufacture PCBs for high-frequency and RF applications.

How should I provide special instructions?

You can either send us an email mentioning your special instructions or send us a readme file with your specifications.

Do you offer metal core PCBs?

Yes, we do offer metal core PCBs with up to 4 layers.

Do you bevel hard gold fingers?
Yes, we are capable of bevelling hard gold fingers.
Is there a charge for panelizing PCBs?
We provide PCB panelization at no cost.
Can you make High Density Interconnect PCBs (HDI)?
Yes, we can make HDI PCBs. For more information please visit our PCB Fabrication page.

To achieve higher circuit density than traditional PCBs, HDI printed circuit boards utilize a combination of advanced features and technologies such as blind/ buried vias, laser-drilled stacked micro-vias, via-in-pads techniques, among others.

Can you fabricate PCBs with castellation holes (plated half-holes on PCB edge)?

Yes, we are capable of providing castellation holes service.

We recommend using the largest hole size possible.

Can you provide v-scoring?
Yes, we do provide scoring wherever required on bare PCB orders.
What factors that determine PCB manufacturing cost?
  • Board quantity
  • PCB thickness
  • Number of layers
  • Copper weight
  • HDI features
  • Routing
  • Impedance control
Does you offer special milling or control depth routing?

Yes, we do provide control depth routing and special milling.

What type of laminates do you use in PCB fabrication?

We use a variety of laminates such as FR4, High TG FR4, Rogers, Arlon, Aluminium Base, Polymide, Ceramic, Taconic, Megtron, etc.

What is your minimum SMT pitch?
5 mils.
Do you offer expedited services?

Our expedited service is usually, 4 to 10 days for prototype, and 5 days to 4 weeks for production.

Do you accept kitted/consigned PCB assembly and how do I supply my components?
Yes, we offer Turnkey, Partial Turnkey, and Kitted/Consigned PCB assembly service. You can ship the parts to our facility in Markham, ON. We would prefer if you can label all the parts with the item # according to BOM and also refer to the quote number when sending the parts to us.
Do you X-ray BGAs?
Yes, we do X-ray inspection for all BGAs and fine pitch leadless components.
How should I provide special instructions?

You can either send us an email mentioning your special instructions or send us a readme file with your specifications.

What types of testing is done on my assembled boards?

a) Visual Inspection
b) AOI Inspection
c) X-Ray inspection (for BGA’s and fine pitch parts)
d) Functional testing (if required by customer)
